Graham Roberts singles out three Spurs players after win against Southampton

Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways this afternoon with a 2-1 victory against Southampton.

It wasn’t all plain sailing in North London in what was a game filled with drama, especially in the first half.

After the embarrassing Carabao Cup exit on Tuesday night at the hands of League Two Colchester United, Spurs showed good fighting spirit to churn out the win, especially after being reduced to ten men when Serge Aurier received two yellow cards in just under a five minute period.

It was the first time which Spurs have won a Premier League game when having a player sent off for the first time since September 2017 against West Ham.

After the match, former Spurs defender Graham Roberts took to Twitter to praise the performance of Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane.

Spurs will now look to take their win into Tuesday night’s home game against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
