Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to share his opinion on speculation linking Christian Eriksen with a return to North London (Don Balon).
The 28-year-old has experienced a frustrating time in Italy having made the move from Spurs to Inter Milan in January for a fee of around £16.9million (BBC).
Eriksen has struggled to force his way into Antonio Conte’s plans at the San Siro having made twelve appearances in all competitions this season and has yet to score or deliver an assist with most of his game time coming as a replacement (transfermarkt).
Roberts reacted to speculation from Don Balon which claimed that Spurs would be willing to pay €35m to secure the return of Eriksen and that Jose Mourinho wants the Dane back at the club.
The 61-year-old questioned why Spurs would pay over double the amount compared to what they sold him for eleven months ago.
