Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to share his confusion surrounding the use of VAR in the Premier League.
Tottenham were somewhat the beneficiaries of an offside decision ruled by VAR against Norwich City which would have seen Jose Mourinho’s side go 2-0 down to the Canaries.
Roberts offered a strong verdict on the VAR issues which are currently plaguing the English top flight.
Liverpool’s 1-0 victory against Wolves last night became the latest match to be hit by VAR controversy.
After Liverpool had taken the lead through Sadio Mane, Wolves thought that they had equalised when 19-year-old Pedro Neto found the back of the net right on the stroke of half time.
His celebrations were cut short as VAR ruled it out for offside by the barest of margins.

After the match at Anfield, Roberts claimed that he did not understand the rules of VAR and labelled it a shambles.
I don’t understand VAR as you can’t score a goal with your hand so how is it that the hand is offside just a shambles
