Graham Roberts takes to Twitter to praise Spurs player following milestone

Dele Alli’s appearance against Wolves on Sunday was his 200th in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt since moving from MK Dons back in the February 2015 for what has proven to be a bargain £5million fee (BBC).

In the four and a half seasons he has spent in North London, Dele has established himself as an England international and one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League.

While the 23-year-old came in for heavy criticism from some pundits earlier in the season (Sky Sports), he has seemingly found his mojo back following last month’s arrival of Jose Mourinho as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement.

After marking his landmark double century of appearances with an important win at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday, the midfielder took to social media to thank fans for their support through his time at Spurs.

Tottenham legend Graham Roberts responded to Dele’s post, praising him for his achievements at the club and urged him to keep going.

Here’s what the 60-year-old tweeted to the Spurs star:

Spurs Web Opinion

It is quite incredible that he already has 200 matches for Spurs and an additional 100-odd matches for MK Dons despite being just 23 years of age. That’s a lot of first-team experience already and I have no doubt that he will mature into a real leader on and off the pitch if he stays at the club for a few more years.
