Graham Roberts urges Spurs to go on trophy hunt after FA Cup win

After Tottenham beat Wycombe 4-1 to progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup, Graham Roberts took to social media last night to claim that the club should look to win all three cup competitions this season.

Spurs are still going strong on all four fronts as they have booked their place in the final of the Carabao Cup, qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League and are seven points off top spot in the Premier League with a game in hand.

Jose Mourinho signalled his intent by putting out a fairly strong side yesterday and did not hesitate to bring on big names like Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Tanguy Ndombele when his side were going in search of a winner.

Although Spurs made hard work of it due to some poor finishing, a late flurry of goals saw them overcome battling Wycombe comfortably in the final five minutes.

In his post-match interview with Spurs TV, Mourinho urged Spurs fans to dream of reaching three cup finals this year and Roberts certainly does not seem to lack that belief.

Here’s what the former defender tweeted after the win:

Spurs Web Opinion

It is extremely refreshing to see us take all cup competitions seriously for a change. As much as I loved Pochettino, I was always left disappointed with his attitude towards the domestic cup competitions. Under the Argentine, we were usually competing on just one or two fronts at this stage of the season. It is clear from Mourinho’s and the players’ body language that we are taking every single competition seriously this campaign.
