‘Great signing and achievable’ – Some Spurs fans react to 22-year-old striker links

Some Spurs fans have been left excited to see the North Londoners linked with a move for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard ahead of the summer transfer window.

Edouard has been prolific in front on goal since making the move to Scotland three years ago. The 22-year-old has notched up a sensational tally of 27 goals and 19 assists in 45 games this season (transfermarkt.com).

The Times report that Spurs have regularly sent scouts to watch Edouard in action this campaign and have been left impressed by what they have seen.

It is revealed that the Lilywhites view the Frenchman as the ideal back up to Harry Kane, with the report asserting that the PSG academy graduate will cost around £25million this summer.

Some Spurs fans are convinced that Edouard would be a great signing for that price and the perfect man to serve as Kane’s understudy.

Here’s how they reacted to the rumours linking the club with a move for the Celtic star:

Edouard is not just a goalscorer but his hold up play and vision are also excellent traits. While there is no doubt that he can play alongside Kane, the reality is that he would have to play second fiddle to the England captain, at least in his first season at Spurs. Therefore, I am not sure if the Frenchman will be keen on moving to North London when Kane is still the club.
