Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Ben Davies is set to sign a new contract.

The Daily Mail report that the Welshman is close to agreeing a new five year contract in North London and claims that he is considered as the club’s first-choice left-back ahead of Danny Rose.

Davies joined Spurs from Swansea City in 2014 and has gone on to make 110 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the Premier League.

Rose is said to be one of seven players who have been made available for transfer this summer in order to raise further transfer funds, which will certainly frustrate many Spurs fans if it proves to be true (Mail).

The vast majority of Spurs supporters seemed pleased with the news that the Welsh international could be set to put pen to paper on extending his stay.

Here’s how some Spurs fans reacted to the news of Davies’ potential new deal.
