Eidur Gudjohnsen admits that he is once again enjoying his football since he joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan.

The striker failed to settle at Monaco and moved to White Hart Lane in January.  Gudjohnsen scored his first goal for Spurs in the 2-1 win at Stoke last weekend and is focusing on  keeping the club in fourth place.

“Football is about being happy what you’re doing and I feel alive since I came back to England,” said Gudjohnsen.

“In France I just didn’t enjoy it. I didn’t connect to my surroundings. When you do that and you’re not happy in your work, it’s difficult to get the best out of yourself.

“That’s why I decided to move back to England. I’ve had to be patient and it was really enjoyable to be back on the pitch.

“Of course getting into the Champions League is at the back of our minds. We’re in the fourth place and we’re going to try and protect that for as long as we can.”
