Guglielmo Vicario has made interesting comments about the feeling among the Tottenham squad following their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Spurs are currently in freefall at the moment, having won just one of their last eight Premier League fixtures.
Many Tottenham fans have already lost patience with Thomas Frank and do not want the club to give the Dane time to turn things around.
The Spurs boss conceded that the team’s results at home have been ‘unacceptable’ this term, and he will know that he needs wins desperately.

Guglielmo Vicario says Tottenham can take huge positives from Liverpool defeat
Frank insisted that he was proud of the character his players showed against Liverpool despite playing with a numerical disadvantage for the majority of the encounter.
Vicario has now seconded the Tottenham head coach’s statement, insisting that the home side could have easily walked away with a point had they had a bit more luck.
The Spurs goalkeeper told the club’s official website: “I think we have to be very proud of ourselves, especially the way we handled it in the second half. We showed great character, great effort and mentality to get back into the game.
“The feeling I think from everyone in the stadium was that we could have easily overturned this result, so we have to take home some good notes in terms of mentality and character and all these kinds of things.
“So, a lot of positives from this game – disappointment, of course, to have lost a game of football, but I think with a little bit more luck in some situations, we could have been now speaking about a different game and a different result.”
Vicario explains why this week represents a big opportunity for Spurs
The Lilywhites have no midweek game this week, which is not a luxury they have had too many times over the past few months.
Vicario believes that the players and the staff are keen to use the week to work hard and be fully prepared for their big clash at Selhurst Park.
The Italian added: “Now, we’re going to have a long week in which we can push, we can train hard to get ready for Palace. We need to take the positives into the next match. It’s some fuel that has to feed us. This is the most important bit.
“So, I think in terms of mood, of course, we are disappointed because of the result, but we know that we deserved more because we showed on the pitch and it was there. I’m sure that the fans have felt this inside the stadium. So, a lot of good things. Now, a big week ahead before we go to Palace away and we’re going to be ready.”
