Guillem Balague names two European giants who want Pochettino; but calls for patience

Mauricio Pochettino is still out of work since parting ways with Tottenham at the end November.

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has revealed that the former Spurs boss already has multiple offers on the table.

Despite how things ended for Pochettino at Tottenham and his failure to win any silverware at the club, his stock is seemingly fairly high and he is said to be coveted by some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Argentine (The Mirror) while Manchester City are also said to have him on their radar should Pep Guardiola decide to leave the current champions (the Telegraph).

Balague shares a good relationship with Pochettino having authored the book ‘Brave New World’, which is the story of Pochettino’s revolution at Tottenham.

The Spaniard advised the former Spurs boss to wait for offers from the two Manchester clubs rather than making any rash decisions.

Balague also revealed that Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid both want to appoint him.

Speaking to Genting Bet, Balague said: “I think Pochettino has got different options. For me, I would recommend that he should wait for Manchester City or Manchester United.

“I think that’s what, if I had to recommend him anything, I would say that.

“He doesn’t need recommendations. PSG also want him. I know Atletico Madrid also want him. So it’s a decision to be made at the right time.

“Which should be coming quite soon because teams have to start to be organised for next season, managers need to know what’s happening. And it’s a great choice to have.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I am desperately hoping that Pochettino’s next job is outside England as it will be extremely hard to see him in the colours of another Premier League team. However, I think the Argentine will likely want to stay in England. I believe the Manchester United job is the one he has had his eye on for a while.
