Guillem Balague reveals European giants are yet to decide on rumoured Spurs target’s future

Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has revealed that Real Madrid are yet to make a decision on whether they are going to sell Acraf Hakimi, who has been linked with a move to Spurs.

Hakimi has been one of Borussia Dortmund’s main attacking outlets this season, proving a menace for opposing defences with his bombing attacks down the right flank.

The wing-back has continued from where he left off since the restart and has been one of the most consistent performers for Lucien Favre’s side.

His displays over the two seasons he’s spent on loan at the Westfalenstadion have helped Hakimi build a reputation as one of the best young full-backs in world football.

Clubs including Tottenham are said to be interested in snapping up the 21-year-old when he returns to Real Madrid at the end of his loan spell (Bladi.net).

The defender’s agent, Alejandro Camano has previously hinted that the Moroccan international could become first-choice right-back at Los Blancos next season (Sky Sports in Germany).

However, Balague has now revealed that the Spanish giants will not decide on Hakimi’s future until the end of the campaign.

Speaking about the right-back’s future, the journalist said on his YouTube channel: “Real Madrid will have to decide, they may see it as an opportunity to actually sell a player if they need the money, or keep him away on loan for another year.

“We haven’t heard what they have decided yet, because I think they are waiting until the end of the season for that.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It is very much possible that Hakimi might be sold by Real Madrid this summer due to their financial problems. However, I doubt we would have any chance of landing him as many top sides in Europe including the likes of Man City and PSG might be interested in nabbing the Moroccan if he were to become available.
