There has been a mixed reaction from some Spurs fans on social media to Fabrizio Romano’s revelation that Manchester City have made a £100m offer for Harry Kane.
Kane has been heavily linked with a move to City over the last few weeks but over recent days, reports in the British press have cast doubt on the striker’s chances of moving to the Etihad.
Some sources have suggested that City believe that negotiations with Spurs could prove complicated and could thus abandon their pursuit of the striker.
It was then reported on Sunday that the Premier League champions are prepared to make one last take-it-or-leave-it £100m offer for the 27-year-old.
Romano has now claimed that Pep Guardiola’s men have made a bid for the England captain and are also prepared to include Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte or Gabriel Jesus as a part of the deal.
While some Spurs fans insisted that Daniel Levy will laugh off the £100m offer, others suggested that the deal could be worth considering, particularly if Spurs could get the likes of Laporte in exchange.
No players, 150 then maybe Levy will budge. Anything else will be a waste of time. He as 3 years left.
Just as much a point of ego, pride and club brand as anything else.
Kane IS the club at this time.

Might need to add another 50m cash onto that bid to stand any chance of getting Kane 😂😂 https://t.co/mdIwXqSJ1h

Does Kane only have one leg now?

50m + Laporte + one of Sterling/Jesus + Delap I'd accept. Throw the 50m on Isak and move on.
Laporte fixes the major problems in our defence. Delap is a great prospect & Sterling/Jesus + Son flanking Isak would be 🔥
Money from other sales on a top playmaker & RB https://t.co/BFGPAB9LgT

We actually need to sell him now for the benefit of our club. Look at when liverpool sold coutinho and when chelsea sold hazard. We can rebuild the defence while still having players like son and bale if we keep him up top.

Sterling + 100m isn't to bad. Use the 50m out of that for laporte https://t.co/V2ijKvHobR

Think if we were to get £100m plus 2 of Sterling, Jesus, Laporte, Mahrez or Bernardo Silva, you'd have to take a good long look at that.
Kane is irreplaceable but if you're doing it, do it when you're getting a new manager who's going to play a new system. #COYS #THFC https://t.co/iQKA7VvgwR

£100m + Laporte or Mahrez would be hard to turn down, tbh https://t.co/rrv8udqRGZ

Spurs Web Opinion
I can understand why some Spurs fans feel that it might be in our best interest to cash in on Kane this summer when his value is high. However, I cannot see Levy even coming to the negotiating table unless City increase their offer to around £150m.
