‘Hard to turn down’ – Some Spurs fans react to report of big-money bid

There has been a mixed reaction from some Spurs fans on social media to Fabrizio Romano’s revelation that Manchester City have made a £100m offer for Harry Kane.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move to City over the last few weeks but over recent days, reports in the British press have cast doubt on the striker’s chances of moving to the Etihad.

Some sources have suggested that City believe that negotiations with Spurs could prove complicated and could thus abandon their pursuit of the striker.

It was then reported on Sunday that the Premier League champions are prepared to make one last take-it-or-leave-it £100m offer for the 27-year-old.

Romano has now claimed that Pep Guardiola’s men have made a bid for the England captain and are also prepared to include Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte or Gabriel Jesus as a part of the deal.

While some Spurs fans insisted that Daniel Levy will laugh off the £100m offer, others suggested that the deal could be worth considering, particularly if Spurs could get the likes of Laporte in exchange.

Spurs Web Opinion

I can understand why some Spurs fans feel that it might be in our best interest to cash in on Kane this summer when his value is high. However, I cannot see Levy even coming to the negotiating table unless City increase their offer to around £150m.
