‘Hard work stars now’ – Defender takes to social media after deadline day move

Cameron Carter-Vickers took to Instagram yesterday to sum up his first day of training with Celtic, following his deadline day move.

The Tottenham Hotspur defender completed a season-long loan switch shortly before the Scottish transfer window closed on Tuesday evening, which includes the option for Celtic to make the move permanent.

Carter-Vickers revealed his delight in his social media post and admitted that he now has to roll up his sleeves at the Scottish giants.

The USA international made his last appearance for Spurs during last month’s Europa Conference League play-off first leg against Pacos de Ferreira, which saw Carter-Vickers sustain an ankle injury late on in the 1-0 defeat.

The 23-year-old has had plenty of experience on loan previously having spent time at Sheffield United, Ipswich, Swansea, Stoke, Luton and Bournemouth.

Carter-Vickers already proved himself to be more than able of being a first-team regular at Championship level and should comfortably made the adaption to the Scottish top flight.

He also has the incentive of knowing that should he impress, he has the opportunity to earn a permanent switch to the Hoops.
