Harry admits Kranjcar could leave in January

Niko Kranjcar

Harry Redknapp has admitted that the next month could decide on whether Niko Kranjcar stays at Spurs.

The Croatian midfielder has become rightly frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities at Tottenham and could look to leave the club in January.

Redknapp said: “We’re not going to gift Niko away; he’s a top player in my opinion.

“Let’s see how things go in the next month with him.”

He added: “I really wouldn’t want to lose him, but I do understand where he’s coming from as well.

“He needs to play; he’s a top-class player. He’s gone away and scored five goals for Croatia in the last three games.

“Hopefully, he’ll get his chance sooner rather than later.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. He’s a squad player at best for us. One of those players who could slot into many teams in the league (like jenas and bentley) but anise we have better players they’re opportunity comes through injuries or suspension to other players. He is certainly a talent and if he has to go then albeit. Helped us when we needed him and at £2mill he was a bargain.

  2. I think it would be crazy to sell Niko Kranjar. He is a terrific player and we have a long, tough season ahead. We need strength in depth, so I very much hope that we can keep him and that he gets his chance to play soon.

  3. It'll be a shame to see him go as he instrumental in our CL qulification but if he can't get a game what choice does he have. He's way too talented to sit on the bench (not that he's even making it that far at the moment).
