Harry Kane breaks another Premier League record in win over Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur were back to winning ways this weekend in the Premier League, narrowly defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers by one goal to nil.

The first half of the early Saturday afternoon kick-off was flat from Conte’s Tottenham, much like their first 45 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last week.

However, the Lilywhites came alive after the break, with Dejan Kulusevski and Ivan Perisic getting a lot of joy in the wide positions.

It was the latter who eventually assisted the all-important opener for Tottenham in front of a packed home crowd in N17, flicking on a corner for Harry Kane to head home into an unprotected net.

While Harry Kane scoring at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is far from newsworthy these days, this particular goal broke an impressive Premier League record.

Having been tied with Sergio Aguero (Man City) before kick-off, Kane became the all-time leading Premier League scorer for a single club – now boasting 185 goals for Spurs (Premier League).

Spurs Web Opinion:

Huge congratulations to Harry. I know he desperately wants trophies, but I hope fans give him the credit he deserves come the end of his career for the sheer number of records he has broken. I expect him to gun down the Shearer record in the next four seasons too.
