Harry Kane comments on potential racism and hostile atmosphere in Serbia

Tottenham Hotspur are now preparing for their latest Champions League match after they landed in Belgrade today. Spurs take on Red Star tomorrow evening in game week four.

Spurs’ captain while Hugo Lloris is out injured, Harry Kane, has returned to training after illness kept him out of the Everton match on Sunday.

The Spurs academy graduate and main man has been talking about potential racism and hostile atmosphere in Serbia in his press conference today.

Red Star Belgrade were banned from selling away tickets to the match in North London last month after racist chanting in a Champions League qualifier.

Harry Kane was part of the England team that dealt with racism in Bulgaria earlier this season, one of the first times we got to see the new UEFA rules and protocols play out.

Harry claims that the protocols are in place and he and his team will follow them if needed.

He added (Football London): “Hopefully we can win tomorrow night. I’ve heard from a few players that the atmosphere is going to be tough and very hostile. We’ll do everything in our power to win the game.”
