A huge update has emerged about the future of Harry Kane, with the former Spurs man considering a shock return to the Premier League this season. However, Tottenham have their work cut out in trying to win the race for their record goalscorer.
Harry Kane has been prolific since swapping Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern, with the centre-forward continuing to break all sorts of records in German football.
The 31-year-old is on course to fire Bayern to the Bundesliga title, which will be the first major trophy of his career, but the existence of a clause in his contract has fuelled speculation over his future.
According to reports over recent weeks, Kane’s contract at Bayern has a release clause of £54m, which will become active this summer, but Bayern are said to be confident that Kane will remain at the club.

Harry Kane considering shock Premier League return
Now, a new report in El Nacional (as relayed by Goal) has claimed that Kane is now ‘seriously considering’ a return to England this summer, just two years on from his switch to Bavaria.
The report states that the England captain is determined to close out his career in the Premier League and is now open to an early return back to his home country.
However, the outlet adds that as things stand, it is league leaders, Liverpool, not Tottenham, who are favourites to sign the striker.
Spurs have an ace up their sleeve in Harry Kane pursuit
It would be a little surprising if Kane returned to the Premier League this summer as the striker might first want to secure his legacy by winning many medals at Bayern.
However, should the Englishman decide to return to home comforts, Tottenham would have an advantage over other suitors.
This is because it has been widely reported that Spurs have first refusal on Kane should Bayern decide to put him up for sale.
