Tottenham Hotspur managing director of football, Fabio Paratici has been speaking about Harry Kane’s situation at the club.
The England captain’s future in North London dominated the summer transfer window with almost continuous links with a potential move to Manchester City.
City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed his interest in bringing Kane to the Premier League champions and admitted that Tottenham were not prepared to come to the negotiating table (MEN).
Football.London reported in August that Paratici held positive talks with Kane and his representatives ahead of his announcement that he would be staying at the club this summer.
Paratici revealed that the club decided to hold onto their star striker to start the rebuild of the squad and played down any speculation surrounding his future at the club.
The Italian, who was speaking at the Festival dello Sport 2021 at 17:00 said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “Harry Kane loves Tottenham. We’ve decided to keep Harry last summer to start the re-building, and we’re happy with our choice.
“There’s no need of any new talk with Harry. He knows how to share the sense of belonging to Spurs.”

It is great to see Paratici speaking so openly about Kane’s situation in North London which can only give fans hope that the striker will be staying at the club beyond this season, however, Levy and co need to ensure Paratici and Nuno have the financial backing to try and meet Kane’s ambitions and return to the Champions League.
