Harry Kane makes declaration about his long-term future amid rumours of a PL return

Harry Kane has confirmed that he plans to stay at Bayern Munich for many years to come, thus putting an end to the rumours about him returning to the Premier League.

Kane has had a terrific season from an individual standpoint, having scored 43 times and provided 11 assists across all competitions so far this season (Transfermarkt).

However, the season has not gone according to plan for Bayern, who have missed the Bundesliga title for the first time in 12 years. The striker could still end up winning the first piece of silverware of his career this season, with the German giants going strong in the Champions League.

It was reported a little over a month ago by Football Insider that Chelsea had heard whispers that the England captain is not happy at Bavaria and are plotting to bring him back to the Premier League this summer.

The report claimed that the West London club would be willing to match the fee that Bayern paid for the former Tottenham man last summer to take him to Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, it has also been revealed by Fabrizio Romano that Bayern would offer Spurs the right to match any offer they accept for Kane in the future (CaughtOffside via Football 365).

Harry Kane plans to stay at Bayern for years to come

However, the striker has now rubbished suggestions that he might be on his way out of the Allianz Arena soon.

The former Tottenham man said (via Fabrizio Romano): “I’m here at Bayern for many years, it’s not just a one-off year I’ve come for. I came here because I want to play in these big games, these big moments and there’s no bigger than next week away from home.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Kane is not the sort of person to jump ship after a year and he was always going to commit to Bayern’s long-term project. While I do believe that the striker will finish his career in the Premier League, I cannot see him returning to these shores for the next two to three years at least.
