Harry Kane has not travelled with the rest of the Tottenham Hotspur team for this afternoon’s match against Manchester City.
The Athletic have confirmed that the striker who only returned to full training on Friday has been deemed not fit enough to face the Premier League champions.
Kane’s future at Spurs has been well documented in recent weeks, amid intense speculation of a potential move to the current Premier League champions.
Spurs will now have to make do without their top scorer, with the burden likely to rest upon the shoulders of Heung-min Son, who committed his future to the club earlier this summer by penning a contract extension.
