Harry Kane posts message on Twitter after Watford draw

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has taken to Twitter following the draw against Watford.

It was another disappointing performance by Mauricio Pochettino’s side against the Hornets who are without a win in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham looked lost in the final third of the pitch with no player looking likely to unlock the resolute defending of the visitors, especially after they had gone ahead in the first half.

Kane was unable to impact the game in the manner in which he did for his country earlier this week when he provided three assists and a goal of his own in England’s 6-0 win against Bulgaria.

The 26-year-old who took over as captain in Hugo Lloris’ absence was anonymous, along with many of his team mates for the vast majority of the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After the match, Kane admitted on Twitter that the performance was below the required standard and called for unity.
