Harry Kane posts three-word Tweet after goalscoring return to Spurs’ starting eleven

Harry Kane has taken to Twitter this evening to reflect upon his first start of the season for Tottenham Hotspur.

The 28-year-old revealed yesterday on Twitter that he had decided to remain in North London this summer following intense speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City.

Nuno Espirito Santo decided to start the striker for the first time this season against Pacos de Ferreira and the decision certainly paid off after he netted a brace in the first half to turn the tie in favour of the North Londoners.

The England captain was brought off in the 72nd minute while on a hat-trick with Nuno arguably prioritising Sunday’s visit of Watford in the Premier League over a match-ball in the Europa Conference League.

Kane worked hard to make his mark in what was an ideal return to the side and could have scored within a matter of minutes after being played through on goal by Cristian Romero, only to push his effort wide.
