Harry Kane responds to Paratici’s comments about his future

Harry Kane has admitted that he was left flattered by Fabio Paratici’s comments about him.

Tottenham’s new managing director of football insisted in an interview Gianluca di Marzio with yesterday evening that he wants to retain the services of the talisman.

Sky Sports claimed in May that Kane had reiterated his desire to leave the North Londoners this summer which led to Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all registering an interest with his agent.

While Kane insists that his full focus is on England’s Euro 2020 campaign, with a semi-final clash awaiting them against Denmark in Wednesday evening, he admits that it gives him motivation to have such praise.

The 27-year-old is yet to have contact with the Italian or anyone at Tottenham since reporting for international duty but insisted that he is sure that will change once his involvement in the tournament ends.

He told talkSPORT: “Of course as a player you want to be wanted, you want to feel like you’re loved, which I do.

“I haven’t had the chance to talk to any of these people yet. I’m sure we’ll get to know each other after the tournament, have a phone call or two once I get a week or two of holiday.

“To get praise from big people from football is great, it gives you confidence, it gives you motivation so of course it’s nice to hear.”
