Harry Kane reveals he is ‘looking forward’ to working with Antonio Conte at Spurs

Harry Kane says he is looking forward to working with new Tottenham manager Antonio Conte and believes he is the right man to improve the current crop of players at the club.

Spurs made the decision to draft in the former Chelsea boss after sacking Nuno Espirito Santo following a poor and unconvincing run of form.

Conte faces a tough challenge ahead of him in terms of turning the N17 club’s fortunes around, with Tottenham currently languishing in ninth-place in the Premier League.

He also has the inconceivable task of getting Spurs talisman Kane back amongst the goals, with the striker yet to hit his stride this season.

Kane appears to be nursing a lengthy hangover experienced from a tough summer in which he was constantly linked with a move to Manchester City, coupled with England’s heartbreaking Euro 2020 final defeat, however he showed last night he still knows how to find the back of the net with a first-half hat-trick against Albania.

However, the 28-year-old claims he is ready to kick-start his campaign with the arrival of Conte in North London and is looking forward to spending more time under the tutelage of the Italian.

Speaking to talkSPORT (Thursday, November 11), Kane said: “The new manager is very much about improving players. So I’m sure we will have a great relationship, I’m looking forward to getting to know him more and getting to work on him more.”

Conte really was the one manager on the market that could inspire Kane and motivate him to get back to form for Spurs. Now that he is at the club, hopefully, he can start implementing his aura and methods on the squad to get the team firing again.
