Harry Kane speaks out about Tottenham captain’s arrest

Tottenham and France captain Hugo Lloris was all over the back pages for the wrong reasons this week, after police arrested him for drink driving.

The news, which broke on Friday morning, shocked the majority of the footballing world, as Lloris usually comes across as a mature and reserved man.

The club captain missed Friday’s training session after spending the majority of the previous night in a jail cell.

Rumours were rife about Lloris being dropped after his disgraceful antics, and even claims that he may lose his captaincy, however Pochettino believed that neither were necessary.

Harry Kane had been tipped to take Hugo’s place as Tottenham captain, and he had this to say on the situation:

“Obviously he apologised to us. He knows it wasn’t right what he did.

“Look, from my point of view, Hugo’s a very good guy, he works very hard, so it’s been put to bed from our point of view.

“Obviously he’ll have to deal with whatever comes his way from the law side of things, but he kept his head down, he apologised, worked hard and went out there and played well.”
