Harry Kane takes to Twitter after Spurs edge past Norwich; singles out player

Harry Kane has expressed his delight after watching his Tottenham Hotspur team mates return to winning ways.

Spurs were far from convincing in their 2-1 win against Norwich City in North London but made the most of the opportunity of the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea dropping points in their midweek fixtures.

While Spurs dominated proceedings in the first half, they struggled to break the deadlock for the majority of the first as and squandered a number of good chances.

The home side eventually opened the scoring through Dele Alli who converted a low Serge Aurier cross from close range.

Norwich gave a much better account of themselves after the interval and equalised midway into the second half when Teemu Pukki converted from the spot following a foolish foul by Ryan Sessegnon on Max Aarons.

The away side gave the Lilywhites a scare towards the end but Jose Mourinho’s men rallied to finish the game strongly.

They secured the winner through Son Heung-min who headed home from close range after Alli’s effort took a deflection and looped into his path.

Kane took to social media to comment on the victory and also to send a message to club captain Hugo Lloris, who made his first start in three and a half months after recovering from an elbow injury.

Spurs Web Opinion

That was a massive three points considering that many of our rivals had dropped points this game week. It takes us just six points off Chelsea in 4th and brings us right back into the race. It was still clear however that we are missing an out and out striker. So it is essential that the club brings someone in before the close of the transfer window.
