Harry Kane has taken to Twitter to reflect on Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-2 draw against Rennes earlier this evening.
The striker was named in Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting eleven against the French outfit in front of a passionate home crowd at Roazhon Park.
Kane’s involvement in the Europa Conference League fixture made him Tottenham’s record appearance holder in European competition.
The 28-year-old was unable to mark the achievement with a goal and was taken off in the 54th minute with the score level at 1-1.
The England captain admitted that there is plenty that needs to be improved upon ahead of the visit of rivals Chelsea to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Very proud to have made the most European appearances in @SpursOfficial club history. Tough game and loads to improve on for the weekend. pic.twitter.com/Vk4unMPZpG
