Harry Kane trains with his teammates for the first time

In news that comes as a potential boost to Tottenham’s chances of keeping hold of Harry Kane, Sky Sports have now revealed that the striker trained with his teammates for the first time this morning.

Amid the non-stop speculation linking the striker with a move to Manchester City, Nuno Espirito Santo left Kane out of the matchday squad for Tottenham’s 1-0 win over the Premier League champions on Sunday.

The Spurs boss insisted after the game that the England captain will have a part to play once he gets up to speed in training.

The striker has been included in Tottenham’s 25-man squad for the Europa Conference League playoff which begins with a first leg against Pacos de Ferreira on Thursday.

Reports emerged on Monday that the 28-year-old was keen to make himself available for the clash against the Portuguese side.

Sky have now revealed that Kane has been integrated into the group by Nuno and trained with his teammates for the first time this morning since returning from his summer break.

I am not sure we should be reading too much into what this could mean for Kane’s mooted move to City.

However, one would think that Nuno would not integrate the striker into the group unless the striker had made it clear to the Spurs boss that he is prepared to play.

Nuno must have also been convinced that the 28-year-old’s head was in the right frame of mind and he would not be a disruptive influence on the squad.
