Harry Kane wanted by Man Utd claim Sky

Sky Sports ‘sources’ are today claiming that Manchester United are interested in signing Harry Kane this summer.

United boss Louis Van Gaal is in the market for a new striker and Kane is on his radar.

It’s hardly surprising that “One of our Own” is attracting interest from other clubs given the fantastic season he has just had. However, there is absolutely no chance that Tottenham will let their star striker depart White Hart Lane.

We all know that Manchester United have a huge transfer war chest to spend on new players ahead of the new Premier League campaign, but Daniel Levy will stand firm and rebuff any offer.

How can we be so sure? He said in a recent Facebook interview when asked by fans if Harry Kane was staying with Spurs, it was met by a resounding “Yes” from Levy.

Surely he won’t allow himself to go back on his word and risk an uproar from the Spurs fans?

Have your say below.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Yeah good luck with prising Harry Kane away from Levy cauliflower face. LVG still thinks Man U are a top European team and every decent player will come running to his beck and call – those days have gone as the red devils are in transition and rebuilding. Kane should stay put where he's guaranteed to be no. 1 striker, if he went to Man U that might not be the case.

    • Yes he did say that about bale but the difference is that bale wanted to go and nearly went on strike to get away .harry Kane is altogether different he is very happy at Spurs and has made it clear that he is going nowhere.if levy was to sell Harry Kane the fans would never forgive him .the days of United riding roughshod over us are gone.

  2. LVG still thinks Man U are a top European team and every decent player will come running to his beck and call – those days have gone as the red devils are in transition and rebuildinG…HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS THAT MAN UTD ARE WORLDS GLOBAL TEAM OR WERE YOU HAVING A NAP…PLEASE DO NOT COMPARE SPURS TO MAN UTD BECAUSE IN A 2 YEARS TIME MAN UTD WILL BE THEEEEE BEST…GIANT NEVER SLEEPS

    • In footballing terms they are no longer giants, I'm not talking merchandise here but success on the pitch and trophies! You're the one that needs to wake up!

      • wonka, its only been 2 years since we won the league and the total taken to 20 titles ,thats a giant mate, delude hater

  3. Vijay, you are deluded. Time for you to take a little nap. Manure are not bigger or more successful than Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich. We all know Man City are wealthier as well. Most of Manure income is from the Far East. Jon, we know that Levy sold Bale to Real Madrid but it was for a record amount and the Welshman wanted to go, it was his dream to play for Real Madrid. Kane on the other hand is Spurs through and through and even if Levy was to back track on what he said a week ago, the player would have to want to leave and Kane does not. It also must be said that Levy learnt his lesson after selling Berbatov and Carrick many years ago to competitors in the EPL. Years later Chelsea tried to prise Modric away and got stuffed as did Manure when they tried to get Bale. The same treatment will apply if tried to get Kane, Levy would rather sell him overseas before he sells to Manure.
