Harry Kane’s eight-word reaction on social media to hat-trick against Mura

Harry Kane has taken to social media to express his delight at netting a hat-trick to help Tottenham demolish NS Mura 5-1 in the Europa Conference League.

Spurs certainly needed a response on the back of their lacklustre display in the North London derby and the home side got off to a great start, racing to a 2-0 lead within the first 10 minutes, courtesy of strikes from Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso.

While Nuno Espirito Santo’s men seemed to be in cruise control of the game throughout, Mura pulled one back early in the second half to keep themselves in the tie.

The Spurs boss then rang the changes at the hour mark, introducing Kane, along with Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura for Dane Scarlett, Dele Alli and Bryan Gil.

The substitutions had the desired impact, with Kane scoring three in the final half-hour, with Moura and Son setting up one each for the striker.

The goals were certainly much needed for the England captain, who has been in poor form so far this season, which has led to some questioning if he is still motivated to play for Spurs.

After netting a hattrick yesterday evening, the 28-year-old took to Twitter to admit that he is delighted to have been going home with the match ball.

Goals often do wonders to strikers’ confidence and so, I am hoping that this hattrick will help kickstart Kane’s season. I would not at all be surprised if he now has a purple patch over the next couple of months and makes his critics eat their words once again.
