Harry Redknapp gives top four verdict as Spurs, Arsenal, United, and Chelsea all chase

Tottenham Hotspur are certainly never dull, and fans will be well aware that their club never does anything the easy way.

Just a few weeks ago, Spurs had the chance to go two points behind the League leaders Liverpool, but spurned the opportunity by losing to Burnley.

Tottenham then lost to Chelsea, drew at home to Arsenal, and lost away to Southampton, making it 11 dropped points out of the last 12.

Spurs were suddenly no longer title contenders, but also not nailed on for a top four spot and the Champions League football that comes with that.

The Lilywhites will have to turn their form around if they are to secure third of fourth place in the Prem, especially with trips away to Liverpool and Man City to come.

Spurs are currently on 61 points, with Arsenal on 60, Man United on 58, and Chelsea on 57.

Harry Redknapp, ex-Spurs boss, still believes that Tottenham are the favourites to make the top four, while also mentioning Arsenal in the race.

He said (Daily Star): “I think it’s going to be TIGHT, between all four of them!

“I mean, the top two places are sorted. But to get into the Champions League, I think it’s wide open.

“Tottenham will still be favourites to finish certainly in the top four. After that I wouldn’t really like to pick.

“Arsenal have suddenly come back into it. Arsenal were 10 points behind Tottenham only a couple of week ago, and now suddenly they’ve closed the gap and they nearly beat Tottenham at Wembley.

“If they had of scored the penalty they’d probably be above them now.

“It’s wide open now, its going to be exciting end to the season, in that respect.”
