Harry Redknapp makes claim about most Spurs that fans will love

Tottenham Hotspur may still be in the hunt for a trophy this season, but it could be another years before fans see their beloved team lifting silverware.

Spurs are well and truly out of the Premier League title fight as they attempt to cling onto their top four position.

The Lilywhites are still in the Champions League, and have equalled their best ever run in the competition by reaching the quarter finals.

Spurs were drawn against Man City in the quarters, and must beat them over two April legs if they are to make history and reach the semi finals for the first time.

The chances of Tottenham making it past City, plus two other top European sides to lift the Champions League are pretty small, but one ex-manager claims a trophy isn’t far away.

Harry Redknapp claims that this Tottenham team will win a piece of silverware in the next two years.

He said (SkySports): “There is a trophy in Tottenham in the next couple of years.

“I enjoy watching them play, they’ve got some great players. Harry [Kane] is back fit and Dele Alli coming back is a big plus – he’s an absolute genius.

“I love Pochettino. New stadium, great training ground, it’s all in place at Tottenham. The future looks good.”
