Harry Redknapp believes that Harry Kane is certain to stay at Tottenham Hotspur this summer, insisting that the striker would not want to take his family to Germany.
Bayern Munich’s opening offer of €70m (£60.2m) plus add-ons for Kane was turned down by Spurs yesterday (Sky Sports) but reports indicate that the Bundesliga champions are expected to return with an improved offer for the striker (Ben Jacobs).

In fact, The Athletic reported on Tuesday that the England captain remains Thomas Tuchel’s priority target this summer and that Bayern are optimistic about getting a deal for the Tottenham man over the line.
Meanwhile, it has been suggested by The Telegraph that the North London club could accept an offer of £80m plus add-ons for Kane from an overseas club as it would help them ward off the threat of the 29-year-old joining a Premier League rival on a free next year.
Harry Kane is building a new house in London
However, Redknapp is confident that the centre-forward is not leaving his boyhood club this summer.
When asked about the speculation over Kane’s future, the former Tottenham manager told BBC Radio Wales: “[Harry Kane] is cert to stay at Tottenham.
“I think he is building a new house. Family would be the all-important thing for him, so there’s no chance he’s going to Bayern Munich, he’ll be staying at Tottenham.
“He’s not going to want to go to Germany, he’s not taking his family over there, not a chance. So if he stays here, unless you go to Man City you’re not guaranteed to win anything.
“You could go to Man Utd and not win anything, you can go to Chelsea or anywhere else you want to go.
“At the moment Man City are winning everything, they’re on a different level, and Man City don’t need him, they’ve got Haaland up front and there’s not a spot for him (Kane) any more so that’s not going to happen.
“So there’s not a move for him really so I think he’ll stay at Tottenham, I really do. I’m very confident about that.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Bayern Munich would not be bidding for Kane if the striker’s entourage had not expressed a willingness to move to the Allianz Arena.
So, I get the feeling that the 29-year-old would green-light the move if the Bavarians can agree on a fee with Spurs.
