Harry Redknapp reveals what he heard about rumoured Spurs defensive target

Harry Redknapp has claimed that he has heard good things about rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Joe Rodon.

Sky Sports claimed on Monday evening that Tottenham were in talks with Swansea City over a deal for the Welsh international.

Redknapp revealed that he has heard that both Gareth Bale and Ben Davies have provided a good report of their international team-mate.

Spurs are said to be in the market for another central defender (Football.London) and despite the transfer window closing on Monday night, they are still able to deal with EFL clubs until October 16th (Sky Sports).

Rodon has been a regular in the heart of the Swansea defence this season and is also said to have attracted interest from West Ham United.

The North Londoners had been heavily linked with respective moves for Inter Milan stopper Milan Skriniar and Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger but with both players remaining with their current employers, Spurs turned their attention to the 22-year-old Welshman (Evening Standard).

Redknapp told Sky Sports News (8:48pm, October 5, 2020): “They tell me he is a very good player. Good player. They tell me I think that Gareth Bale and Ben Davies have recommended him highly as well. He is in the Wales squad. I think he is a player with good future. Good signing.”
