Press reports linking Patrick Vieria with a return to Arsenal have surprised Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.
The Inter Milan midfielder has been a target of Redknapp’s for a number of weeks and admits he’s heard nothing himself about the speculation with a return to Tottenham’s North London rivals.
“That is surprising but I had heard nothing about it,” Redknapp said. “I am sure he will be a good signing whoever he signs for.
“He belonged to Arsenal, he was fantastic there so if an opportunity to go back there came along then I’m sure he would take it.
“But I haven’t spoke to anyone, it could only be a rumour so I don’t know.”
