Harry Winks reveals what he has noticed about Giovani Lo Celso

Tottenham Hotspur new boy, Giovani Lo Celso, is finally starting to have an impact on the starting line up under Pochettino in North London.

Lo Celso was introduced to the squad back on deadline day in the summer transfer window, coming on loan from Spanish side Real Betis.

However, Pochettino chose to ease him into the side, rather than handing his starts straight off the bat like Ndombele, who had enjoyed a pre-season with the club.

Unfortunately, Lo Celso picked up an injury on international duty with Argentina before Poch could hand him his first start, and he only returned a few weeks ago.

Lo Celso finally made his first start away to Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League last week, opening the scoring and being a big part of the 4-0 win. He also started at the weekend at home to Sheffield United, impressing once again.

Harry Winks has now revealed what he has noticed about the new recruit (Standard): “Gio has come in and been excellent, he’s shown his quality. It’s unfortunate he’s got an injury and wasn’t able to play sooner. Same with Ryan [Sessegnon]. Gio’s very technical. He can receive the ball in between the lines. He’s got an eye for a goal and an assist as well, and he’ll be a key player for us going forward.”
