Harry won’t let Pav and Bentley go cheap

Harry Redknapp has said that he won’t be allowing Roman Pavlyuchenko and David Bentley to leave on the cheap.

Both players have been angling for moves away from White Hart Lane after finding first-team opportunities hard to come by this season.

The players cost nearly a combined £30million to bring to Spurs and whilst Daniel Levy will have the final say on any transfers at the club, Redknapp has said they will not be leaving at a knock-down price.

“David would like to move, there is no doubt about that. He feels he needs to move on and play.

“Obviously Pav wants to move, but we are not mad to sell them. They are not going cheap and are both good players.

“It is up to the chairman and whether he gets the money and it is the right offer. I would not let them go cheaper. otherwise you end up giving them all away.

“I won’t let my emotions get in the way of the fee we get for Pav and Bentley.”
