‘Has an identity’ – Pundit calls for ex-Spurs man to be hired as Nuno replacement

Jamie O’Hara has called for Scott Parker to replace Nuno Espirito Santo at Tottenham following the club’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester United.

The pressure on the former Wolves manager has been cranked up after seeing his side picked apart at home on Saturday evening, by a team that suffered a dismal 5-0 defeat to Liverpool the week prior.

Boos and jeers rang around every corner of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium once Marcus Rashford slotted home United’s third minutes from time, following earlier strikes from Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani.

Nuno is now in an uncomfortable position in the Spurs dugout as the third international break approaches, and eyes are starting to turn towards his potential successors in North London.

As such, former Spurs man O’Hara has given his suggestion, putting Bournemouth boss, ex-Spurs player and former Tottenham youth coach Parker in the hat.

The Cherries are flying high in the Championship under Parker and already sit five points clear with 11 wins from 15 games, while standing as the only side to remain undefeated.

Parker had a tough time with Fulham during their stint in the Premier League and he seems widely regarded as a talented coach at a relatively young age too.

If he was to be appointed as Spurs coach, though, it would be his biggest managerial job yet and will likely be a stopgap.
