Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter after Harry Kane was named amongst the substitutes for tonight’s game against Leicester City.
The striker is typically the first name on Mauricio Pochettino’s team sheet, but instead will be watching the start of this Premier League clash from the sidelines.
No doubt Mauricio Pochettino has picked his Spurs side tonight with his mind already looking ahead to Tuesday night’s crunch clash with Barcelona at the Nou Camp with Christian Eriksen also named on the bench.
The trip to the Catalan giants will decide Tottenham’s Champions League fate on whether they progress to the knockout stages or face elimination from the competition by dropping down to the Europa League instead.
This is the side Pochettino has decided to name for the match against Leicester this evening.
Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris (C), Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Sissoko, Winks, Dele, Son, Lucas.
Subs: Gazzaniga, Rose, Walker-Peters, Skipp, Eriksen, Nkoudou, Kane
Here’s a selection of reaction from your fellow Spurs fans.
Gutted not to see Kane, but he deserves a break! Son and Moura are more than capable upfront! #COYS

Don’t really understand this line up. Play the best team available. Away to Barca is not going to be easy

This is so annoying, why did he play 90 minutes vs Southampton and not come off at 3-0 and now he’s not starting tonight, Leicester no push overs, as a spurs fan & a @OfficialFPL player, I’m well annoyed right now ?

Actually quite like that team as an alternative. But worried that we lake creativity without Eriksen but Kane needs a rest. Give over people.
