Tottenham Hotspur have now named their 25-man squad for the new Premier League season, with the European transfer window shutting on September 2 (Football London).
Pochettino was allowed to name 17 non-homegrown players within this squad of 25, without needing to include under 21 starlets. Anyone under the age of 21 is included in a separate list.
Among the likes of Juan Foyth, Ryan Sessegnon, and Oliver Skipp, Pochettino named Jack Clarke on the U21 list.
This may stand out as a strange move seeing as the teenage winger is currently out on loan for the season at Leeds United.
However, Football London reported last month that Spurs actually have a recall clause in the contract with Leeds that could see them bring Clarke back to North London in January.
With the Leeds academy graduate not having a good time of it in the Championship, failing to make a single league appearance, perhaps this is now a real possibility.
Could the fact that Clarke has been named in the squad indicate that a recall is on?
