“He can win matches on his own” – Matt Le Tissier praises Tottenham attacker

Tottenham have had to contend with a lot of injuries so far this season and the squad players have thus had to step up and be counted.

Arguably none of the injuries have weakened the side more than losing their star striker Harry Kane. Spurs had to do without Kane for a crucial spell earlier in the year, and once again lost the England captain to an ankle injury in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester City.

In Kane’s absence, the likes of Son Heung-Min and Fernando Llorente have scored crucial goals for the club and have received a lot of plaudits.

However, one player whose contribution has gone under the radar is Lucas Moura. The Brazilian started the season in blistering form in front of goal but seemed to hit a rough patch of form which saw him lose his place in the side.

Moura has once again stepped up in recent weeks and put in some great performances that have helped Spurs get over the line in Premier League and Champions League games.

The 26-year-old has proved over the course of the season that he is an invaluable option to have in the squad, and he has now received rave reviews from former Southampton midfielder Matt Le Tissier.

According to HITC, Le Tissier told Sky Sports’ Gillette Soccer Saturday, “His (Moura) movement is really, really good, and he gets into positions, and he finishes very, very well.

“He has the ability to win matches on his own.”
