‘He has what it takes’ – Lucas Bergvall’s teammate tells Spurs fans what to expect

Albin Ekdal, who only arrived at Djurgarden in January, has been mightily impressed with what he has seen of Lucas Bergvall and believes that the new Spurs signing has what it takes to evolve into a top player.

Bergvall is viewed by many in Swedish football as the next potential breakout star to emerge from the country, with the youngster winning his first senior cap for the nation at the tender age of 17.

The midfielder, who turned 18 last week, will spend the remainder of the season at Djurgarden, before linking up with Ange Postecoglou’s squad ahead of next season.

He will hope to follow in the footsteps of other youngsters like Destiny Udogie and Pape Sarr and establish himself as a key first-team player for the Lilywhites next season.

Many at Djurgarden are convinced that Bergvall is going to make it at the top level, with the club’s sports coordinator, Peter Kisfaludy even telling Football.London this week that the youngster could become a better player than his compatriot Dejan Kulusevski.

Lucas Bergvall is impressing his teammates

Ekdal has only shared a dressing room with the midfielder for a few weeks but he is already convinced about the new Tottenham man’s talent.

The Sweden international, who joined Djurgarden from Spezia last month, told Aftonbladet about Bergvall: “He has what it takes to become an incredibly good player. Then it’s up to him how he manages it. He will come to a level and an environment that is very demanding, but I think he has what it takes to become a real top player.”
