‘He is now a team player’ – Pundit claims Spurs star is no longer selfish under Mourinho

Former Liverpool midfielder, Don Hutchison has claimed that Harry Kane’s evolution into a creator has now put the Tottenham striker amongst the best forwards in world football.

While Spurs fans will know only too well that Kane has always been an all-round striker with superb passing and vision, it is fair to say that those attributes are more prominent now that the forward is playing a little deeper than he used to in previous seasons.

The 27-year-old finally seems to be getting the credit he deserves for his all-round play on the back of a blistering start to the season that has seen him score 13 times and register 11 assists already (transfermarkt.com).

Hutchison believes that the England captain has become much less selfish and more of a team player, insisting that he now is now at the same level as the likes of Robert Lewandowski.

The pundit told Optus Sport’s Analysis Show (as relayed by TBR Football): “He’s transformed himself from a nine into a ten. But Harry Kane is now in the same conversation with Robert Lewandowski, to be the best in the world.

“But if you look at Premier League centre-forwards, you look at Jamie Vardy and his speed, the work Firmino does for Liverpool.

“But Kane – best he’s played for a while. I don’t see a selfish Kane anymore, seeing him shoot from 30 yards to be a match-winner. He is now a team player.”
