Italian agent Federico Pastorello believes Antonio Conte has a ‘60 to 70 per cent’ of staying at Tottenham beyond this summer.

Conte has been leading a turnaround at the Spurs after linking up with the north London side in November and signing an 18-month deal.

Spurs are currently within touching distance of rivals Arsenal who occupy the final Champions League spot and are one point off the Gunners as the season nears its conclusion.

However, there is an uncertainty that Conte will remain at the club beyond the campaign, with Football.London reiterating the former Inter Milan boss will soon meet with the Tottenham hierarchy to discuss his options.

The 52-year-old was also the subject of speculation linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain (Le Parisien), although he rubbished the talk as ‘fake news’ in a recent press conference (Sky Sports).

But Pastorello, who was influential in Conte’s move to Chelsea in 2016, believes there is a good chance he will be in charge of Tottenham next season and feels he is satisfied with how things are currently going in N17.

Pastorello told La Repubblica: “He is obsessed with winning.  This has made him one of the most successful around, he has the ability to change the mentality of a team, but it is obvious that in the Premier League you don’t just win with this.

“Sometimes Antonio appears to be a difficult coach to manage; but if I were a club owner I would not want someone who makes me live well, but someone who makes me win.  I feel him very satisfied with the team, they follow him.  I think there are good chances he could stay at Spurs. I think he has 60 to 70 per cent chance to stay.”

Conte has been excellent for the vast majority of his stint with Spurs so far and you feel he could have a lot more to offer if he is given the right opportunities.

If Spurs convince him to stay, they need to make sure they support him appropriately in the transfer market to bring in the right players that fit what he wants.
