Tottenham Hotspur became the first ever Premier League side not to sign a single new player in the summer transfer window this year.
However, despite the lack of funding, Pochettino has managed to lead his side to a very impressive level so far this campaign.
Spurs currently sit third in the League, above many teams that invested a lot more money than them.
Tottenham are also in the Champions League knockout stages against Borussia Dortmund, after pulling off a sensational comeback.
Despite falling in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, Spurs are still in with a chance of scooping a domestic trophy in the FA Cup this season.
In summary, Spurs are above Arsenal in the table, in the knockouts of the Champions League, a competition Arsenal didn’t qualify for, got further than Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, and stayed in the FA Cup for longer than them too.
Despite all this, Arsenal fan Piers Morgan still felt he had to come out on talkSPORT this week and slate Spurs gaffer Pochettino as overrated.
Morgan said (talkSPORT): “I only say ‘Pok-ettino’ to annoy Spurs fans,” he revealed when asked why he pronounces the Argentine’s name the way he does.
“But the fact that no one really knows how to pronounce his name says it all to me. He is overrated.
“I genuinely do not believe that Spurs, under Pochettino, are any better than they were under Harry Redknapp. I genuinely don’t.
“And I certainly don’t think Spurs are as good now as they were in the days of Lineker and Gazza, for example, and Jurgen Klinsmann even and Ossie Ardilles!
“They got on about this Spurs team now as if they are some sort of world beaters; they have won nothing of significance!
“They’ve just been dumped out of another cup and someone sent me this the other day. [Gonzalo] Higuain has come in and he has made more finals in six hours than Tottenham have done in the last 15 years!”
