‘He is quality’ – Premier League keeper praises Spurs player with ‘pure technique’

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson has praised the ability of his England team mate Harry Kane.

Henderson, who is currently on a season long loan at Forest from Manchester United became the first Premier League goalkeeper since 2018 to deny the Tottenham man from the spot in August, however, Kane still managed to lead his side to a 2-0 victory by scoring both goals.

The goalkeeper was answering questions for Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel when he was asked about who he believes is the most clinical finisher he has faced in his career and replied with Kane’s name without any hesitation.

Henderson, who has faced Kane on many occasions during training with the Three Lions described his ability in training as ‘ridiculous’.

The 25-year-old said: “Harry Kane for sure, he just slaps the ball hard, he just slaps it into the corners, he can go either way, it doesn’t affect him no matter where he is he can turn his foot on it so you have to be aware and be constantly ready for it,”

“He’s ridiculous in shooting drills and that, he’s unbelievable. He has such a pure technique and he’s so hard to read because he turns his foot at the last second. He is top, fair play to him, he is quality.”

Kane has clocked up countless hours on the training pitch to perfect his technique and deserves the praise he gets, especially having encountered difficulties early on in his career.

Spurs fans will be hoping that their star man soon puts pen to paper on a new contract, which is currently set to expire in the summer of 2024.
