Tottenham Hotspur take on Everton this weekend in their second trip to Merseyside in a week, but there will be a different left-back on show for the North London club.
This comes after Danny Rose picked up a yellow card against Liverpool last Sunday, meaning he has already accumulated enough for a one-match ban.
With Rose carrying out said ban this weekend, the door has been opened for another to step in and take the England man’s place.
Perhaps the logical understudy would be Ben Davies, who looked very competent in the 5-0 win over Red Star Belgrade.
However, Tottenham also have Ryan Sessegnon at their disposal, a new player who has yet to feature for the club but can play at either left-back or left-wing.
Sessegnon was out injured until a couple of weeks ago, but hasn’t even appeared on the bench as of yet. One journalist asked Poch today whether the dor had been opened to him:
I asked Poch whether Rose's suspension could open the door for Sessegnon to be in the squad.
