Ben Davies has now claimed that Tottenham and Harry Kane’s teammates want him with them in North London because he is one of the best strikers in the world.
The Welshman also acknowledged the fact that Kane is training with the first team at the moment, although added the rest is out of his hands as a player.
Kane was included in the Tottenham squad to face Pacos de Ferreira on Thursday in Portugal for the club’s opening match of the Conference League.
However, it was revealed today that the England captain had not travelled with the main squad for the first leg of the qualifying match and would instead remain at Hotspur Way to work on his fitness.
Reports added that Kane hoped to play a part against Wolves in the Premier League this weekend after also missing the home match against Man City on Sunday.
Ben Davies said (Alasdair Gold): “Of course [we want him here]. He’s probably one of the world’s best strikers and he’s training with us now. The rest is out of my hands but of course, you’d want him in the team rather than out of it.”

The players are all going to say the sensible PR type answers now. They will have been briefed on this. However, I’m sure most of them are also very good friends with Harry and will support him whatever he chooses to do anyway.
