Jamie O’Hara has suggested Dele Alli is not in Antonio Conte’s future plans at Tottenham and feels a move away from the club will be beneficial for him to rediscover his confidence.
Alli, 25, was a mainstay in the Spurs midfield under Nuno Espirito Santo to start the season, but fell out of contention following a dismal showing in the North London Derby defeat to Arsenal in September.
Little has changed under Conte either, with the midfielder receiving just two minutes of Premier League action since the former Inter Milan manager’s arrival at the club.
As such, a move away from Spurs has since been tipped with reports claiming the club is willing to listen to offers from potential suitors over a loan move in January.
Former Spurs midfielder O’Hara has urged Alli to at least secure a short-term move away in the winter for a fresh start for both himself and the club.
He told Sky Sports: “He [Alli] has had a great career at Spurs. [However], he has really fallen away in the last few seasons. He always seems to think he is back and you think he is doing well – he started the season well and then he has fallen away.
“He needs to leave now, resurrect his career somewhere else. Play some football, get that confidence back, get that fire back in his belly because I think that is what he is missing.
“I feel like he has lost his desire and his determination. He has lost his way at Spurs, he is not in the plans and it is time for him to move on.”

There hasn’t been much progression from Alli over the last couple of seasons and it appears we have reached a point where it is time to part ways for the best for both parties. He has been at the club for a while now and things have simply gone stale, so a January move could be the best for his career.
